Cash-back rebates are based on real estate commission percentages.
Real Estate commissions of 3% or more have a cash-back rebate equaling .5% of the purchase price.
Real Estate commissions of less than 3% to 2.5% will have a cash-back rebate equaling .35% of the purchase price.
Real Estate commissions of less than 2.5% to 2.0% will have a cash-back rebate equaling .30% of the purchase price.
Real Estate commissions of less than 2.0% to 1.5% will have a cash-back rebate equaling .20% of the purchase price.
Transactions with Real Estate commissions below 1.5% are not eligible for cash-back rebates.
The real estate cash-back rebate is offered in most states.
In some states, a gift card or commission credit at closing may be provided in lieu of the real estate cash-back rebate.
The program is not available in Iowa or outside the US.
Real estate cash-back rebate is not available in Alaska, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Oklahoma.
In Kansas and Tennessee, a gift card will be issued ready for spending at specified retail establishments after closing.
State regulations in Kansas limit the dollar amounts and the type of incentive.
In Oregon and New Jersey, a commission reduction may be available at closing.
